An EWP can be telescopic, hinged, articulated, or a combination of these, used to support a platform from which people, equipment or materials can be elevated to perform work.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will learn how to set-up, operate, shut-down and secure the EWP.<\/p>\n<p>This is a nationa<span style=\"color: #000000;\">lly <span style=\"color: #333333;\">accredited qualification that is recognised in all states and territories of Australia. The course is based on the requirements of the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High-Risk Work. Learners who successfully complete the training will become eligible to apply for a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n","learning_outcomes":"<p>Students who complete this qualification will gain the skills and knowledge to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess ground and environmental conditions applying risk assessment and hazard control strategies to confirm that the site is suitable for EWP use<\/li>\n<li>Position, stabilise and set-up the EWP including use of outrigger\/stabilisers and packing<\/li>\n<li>Operate mobile EWP following best practice<\/li>\n<li>Operate an EWP including lifting and elevating using hand-eye coordination<\/li>\n<li>Retract, lower, stow and secure the EWP boom<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and communicate with others<\/li>\n<li>Park, switch off and isolate the EWP appropriately and safely and carry out post-operational checks<\/li>\n<li>Identify problems and equipment faults and where practicable demonstrate appropriate response procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <\/p>\n","entry_requirements":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>HIGH RISK COURSE: MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO ENROL<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Participants are required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read the learner guide and complete the review.
