You will learn how to safely operate a scissor lift, vertical lift and boom lift under 11 metres.<\/p>\n<p>Note: these EWPs are not classified as requiring a high-risk work (HRW) licence.<\/p>\n<p>This is a nationally accredited qualification that is recognised in all states and territories of Australia.<\/p>\n","learning_outcomes":"<p>Students who complete this qualification will gain the skills and knowledge to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select and use the appropriate plant, tools and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Choose and prepare a suitably firm and level standing for the location of the EWP<\/li>\n<li>Prepare for operating an EWP including inspecting and testing the unit<\/li>\n<li>Position, stabilise and set-up the EWP including use of outrigger\/stabilisers and packing<\/li>\n<li>Understand how to respond to alarms<\/li>\n<li>Follow emergency and hazard procedures<\/li>\n<li>Operate an EWP including lifting and elevating using hand-eye coordination<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and communicate with others<\/li>\n<li>Correctly select safety devices and ensure safely of the site and personnel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","entry_requirements":"<p>Participants are required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bring photo ID on the day of training<\/li>\n<li>Wear appropriate PPE: Safety boots, hi-vis shirt\/vest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","prerequisites_andor_recognition_of_prior_learning_rpl":"<p>There are no prerequisites for this course.
