The training focuses on common situations in the construction industry, however, is suitable for anyone wanting to learn the basics of providing CPR. CPR will be practised on the floor using adult and child sized mannequins to simulate real-world scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends refreshing CPR skills (HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation) annually.<\/p>\n<p>This is a nationally accredited qualification that is recognised in all states and territories of Australia.<\/p>\n","learning_outcomes":"<p>Students who complete this qualification will gain the skills and knowledge to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respond to an emergency situation<\/li>\n<li>Assess the environment where CPR may need to be performed<\/li>\n<li>Apply the DRSABCD concept<\/li>\n<li>Understand basic anatomy and physiology related to performing CPR<\/li>\n<li>Perform CPR on adults and children<\/li>\n<li>Understand and apply infection control procedures<\/li>\n<li>Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED)<\/li>\n<li>Communicate details of the incident to emergency services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","entry_requirements":"<p>Participants are required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wear suitable clothing including closed-toe shoes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Note <\/strong>all CPR practice must be carried out on the floor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","prerequisites_andor_recognition_of_prior_learning_rpl":"<p>There are no prerequisites for this course.
